A six-poster road simulation laboratory of Ashok Leyland Ltd has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Calibration & Testing Laboratories, for mechanical testing. A press release from the company said the accreditation is valid across the globe and acknowledges both quality management and technical competence. The six-poster simulator at the company’s Technical Centre in Vellivoyalchavadi can test multi-axle vehicles of up to 60 tonne and reduc e testing time to one-sixth of the conventional testing time. Besides it can test vehicles on a wide variety of road surfaces.
