Toyota Motor recalls 6.9 lakh sedans made in China

Japanese auto company Toyota Motor Corporation has ordered the recall of 688,314 sedans that it manufactured in China through local joint venture firms. The car models being recalled are the Camry, the Yaris, the Corolla and the Vios. Toyota was forced to recall the cars after it discovered a fault in their electric window system. Following complaints from customers, the company found out that parts inside the window switches could cause part of the interior furnishing to melt, produce smoke or even catch fire.
