Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) launched its globally successful SUV, the Toyota Fortuner, in India this week. Priced at Rs 18.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Fortuner comes with a 3.0 litre D-4D diesel engine and 5-speed manual transmission. Toyota has received 2,500 bookings for the SUV within 2 days of its launch, and has closed bookings for now. The company had earlier targeted a sales figure of 2,000 units for the vehicle this year.
