Mahindra XYLO is now available with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)

June 15, 2009, New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), India’s undisputed market leader in utility vehicles, today announced that the successful Mahindra XYLO is now available with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The top end E8 version of the XYLO will offer this option at a price of Rs. 8,18,535 (ex-showroom Delhi). These vehicles will be available at all Mahindra dealerships by the end of June 2009.

“We have introduced Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as an option in the XYLO E8 on the basis of customer feedback and suggestions. ABS makes the XYLO an even safer vehicle to drive and depending on demand we will look at introducing this technology in other variants in future,” said Mr. Vivek Nayer, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) improves vehicle stability by preventing the wheels from locking when brakes are applied on any skid-prone surface (snow, water, loose gravel, or even oil).

Perhaps the most complete car with luxury comforts to enter the Indian market, the XYLO has been a runaway success since its launch in January 2009, with bookings crossing the 16,000 mark. The XYLO boasts a wide array of unique features including Flat Bed front seats, Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS), foldable flight trays, Reverse park assist and surround cool dual ACs. This has led customers to perceive it as an ideal alternative to premium sedans.
