Volvo Car India Opens a New Dealership in Delhi

Volvo Car India, a subsidiary of the Swedish luxury car manufacturer Volvo has added a new dealership in New Delhi. The new car dealership registered under the Auto Kashyap India Pvt. Ltd. is spread across the area of 500 square meters similar to that of the other Volvo showrooms.

According to Paul de Voijs, Managing Director (Volvo Car India), “India is an important market and the dealership expansion is vital to further socialize the Volvo cars. The Indian car in market has a great potential for the brand and the company wants to explore the opportunities completely along with the best possible service to its customers”.

In order to further strengthen its position in the country, the company plans to expand its dealership in Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Kolkata by mid 2009. It is also targeting at selling nearly 500 cars by 2009 end. The Indian car market will also see a new model called XC60 from the SUV segment after its debut in the European markets.
