Hyundai Launches New Verna in India

Hyundai Motor India launches the New Verna in the Indian car market. It is introduced in four variants with a host of significant modifications in both the exterior as well as interior.

At the launch of new Verna, Managing Director of Hyundai, H.S. Lheem said, “Hyundai Verna is a proven success in India and the new variant which also comes with an automatic transmission – a first for this segment will further enhance customer delight and satisfaction. With the launch of the new Verna, we have once again raised the competitive bar for style, performance, safety, and driving dynamics in India's mid-size car segment.”

The new Verna is launched in both diesel and petrol variants. The petrol variants are powered by 1.6 VTVT and 1.6 SX VTVT engine whereas the diesel counterparts are powered by 1.5 CRDi VGT and 1.5 SX CRDi VGT. Furthermore, the company has also equipped automatic transmission in the VGT SX variant making it the first diesel automatic car in its segment. The top-end variants will have an option of 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission.

While the engine and mechanicals remain the same, Hyundai brings in a host of improved exteriors and luxurious interiors to the new Verna. Creatively designed with an aerodynamic structure, the exterior is highlighted with a stylish new radiator grille, new chrome insert in waistline moulding, electrically adjustable ORVM, rear chrome garnish, and a new full wheel cover for enhanced visual appeal.

In the interior, the new car spells elegance and luxury with fresh design, premium features, improvements in quality, and sophisticated upholstery. In addition, the upgraded audio console with a high fidelity 2 DIN Music System accentuates the inner beauty of the car. Hyundai has also emphasized on safety and has introduced a pack of safety features.

The new Verna is available within the price range of Rs 6.3 Lakh and Rs 8.6 Lakh.
