Hellmann's NASCAR Real Fan of the Year Program Announced at Daytona International Speedway

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.: JR Motorsports owner/driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. joined fellow team drivers Brad Keselowski and Mark Martin today at historic Daytona International Speedway to announce the Hellmanns NASCAR Real Fan Of The Year campaign, a new initiative by Hellmanns to search for and recognize NASCARs biggest fans. Senior Brand Manager of Hellmanns Jamey Fish and NASCAR Vice President of Corporate Communications Jim Hunter joined the drivers inside the Sprint FANZONE for the campaign kickoff today.

The contest gives fans the opportunity to prove why their dedication and loyalty to NASCAR and its drivers exceeds that of any other fan. They have one photo to make their point. Fans can log on to www.RealFanOfTheYear.com to upload their photo. A logo or product of one of the participating Unilever brands Hellmanns, Best Foods, Lipton and Klondike must be displayed in the picture.

Seven winners and their guests will be treated to a VIP ticket-package weekend for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 at Lowes Motor Speedway on Oct. 16. Their images will appear on the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet during the race, as well as a full-page advertisement in NASCAR Scene Magazine.

Im excited to be able to drive the No. 88 Real Fan of the Year Chevy at Lowes Motor Speedway in October, Keselowski said. Hopefully we can put the car in Victory Lane and honor the winning fans even more for their support.

A panel of judges that will include Earnhardt Jr. will select one grand-prize finalist out of the seven winners. The grand prize finalist and a guest will have the opportunity to attend special events during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champions Week celebrations at the conclusion of the 2009 season.

The Real Fan of the Year program is a pretty cool deal for all the fans, and Im real excited to be a part of it, said Earnhardt Jr., who will drive the No. 5 Hellmanns Chevrolet in todays season-opening Nationwide Series event at Daytona. Hellmanns is really going above and beyond to award a select group of people with an ultimate fan experience. My fans have always been extremely supportive of me, and I hope they will get behind this program as well.
