Tata Motors Increases Prices of Passenger and Commercial Vehicles

Tata Motors Limited announced an increase in the prices of some of its passenger vehicles and all of its commercial vehicles. The increase was effective from January 1.
The price increase in passenger cars is on the Tata Indica and the Tata Indigo family, in the range of Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 15,000, depending upon the model. In utility vehicles, the price increase is on Tata Sumo, Tata Grande MK II, Tata Safari and Tata Xenon in the range of Rs. 8,700 to Rs.14,500.
The price increase in commercial vehicle ranges from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 40,000, necessitated by increase in input costs and introduction of higher specifications in vehicles meeting BS III emission norms.
